Suzlon Group order book rises to record USD 7.3 bn
Mumbai, Feb 4 (PTI) Suzlon Group, the world''s thirdlargest wind turbine supplier, today said its order bookcurrently stands at a record USD 7.3 bn (Rs 36,000 crore), up35 per cent.
"Despite the challenging business environment in theUS and parts of Europe, our order book stood at USD 7.3billion order book (for 5,000 MW of power), is one of the bestin the industry, and gives us strong visibility for futuregrowth," Suzlon Energy Chief Financial Officer, Robin Banerjeetold PTI here.
The Suzlon Wind order book stood at 2,578 MW (Rs14,600crore), with 1,624 MW (Rs 9,300 crore) in domestic orders and954 MW (Rs 5,300 crore) in international orders as on February4, 2011.
The REpower order book stood at EUR 2.9 billion (2,458MW), compared to EUR 2.6 billion (2,254 MW) at the previousyear''s record date, marking an increase of 11 per cent.
Among the key orders, the Suzlon entered into anagreement for 1,000 MW with Caparo Energy India Limited,valued at about USD 1.28 billion - the largest in Indiato-date. The company has also signed an order for 150 MWwith Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company. (MORE) PTI AP
