Rupee down by 4 paise against US dollar in opening trade
Mumbai, Feb 4 (PTI) The Indian rupee fell by 4 paise toRs 45.65 against the US dollar in early trade at theInterbank Foreign Exchange today, weighed down by gainsregistered by the greenback against other currency rivals.
Forex dealers said besides dollar gains against otherAsian currencies, a weak opening in the stock market due toforeign fund outflows also put pressure on the Indian rupee.
The Indian rupee had ended flat at 45.61/62 against theUS currency yesterday.
The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex opened 58.35points lower at 18,390.78 in opening trade today.
