Robber lands in police net after 13 years
New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) A robber, who was evadingpolice for the past 13 years, has finally landed in custody.
Vijay John, who was allegedly involved in a robbery inGovindpuri, was arrested from Krishna Market in Kalkajiyesterday, a senior police official said.
John, who was declared a proclaimed offender by acourt in 1998, along with his two associates Naveen and Deepakhad allegedly attacked a security guard Lal Bahadur and robbedhim in April 1998.
While Deepak and Naveen were arrested from the spot,John managed to flee and was evading police for the past 13years.
John, who was earlier residing in Kalkaji, left hisresidence and shifted to Lakkarpur in Faridabad.
"He returned to Delhi last year and settled inGovindpuri. We received an information on his whereaboutsand he was arrested," the official said.
