Raja undergoes medical check-up before court appearance
New Delhi, Feb 3(PTI) Former Telecom Minister A Raja, whowas arrested yesterday in connection with 2G spectrumallocation case, was taken to Safdarjung Hospital today formedico-legal check-up before being produced in the court.
As per the Safdarjung medical record books, Rajaentered the hospital at 6.06 in the morning where he wassubjected to a number of medical tests to see if he is fitenough to be kept in the custody.
"He was brought to the hospital at six in the morning.
Physicians conducted a couple of tests," an offical with thehospital said.
"In a medico-legal check-up, the physician looks forexternal and internal injury in the person who undergoes thetests. The person is subjected to a variety of tests whichinclude those of liver, kidney, eye, blood pressure etc," adoctor with Safdarjung hospital said.
Raja, former Telecom Secretary Siddartha Behura andRaja''s former Personal Secretary R K Chandolia, were arrestedyesterday by CBI in connection with the 2G spectrumallocation scam.
