Modi favours fixing plan size at 24,000 crore
Patna, Feb 3 (PTI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister S K Moditoday said Centre should not adopt +dillydallying+ attitudetowards fixing the state''s plan size for 2011-12 to Rs 24,000crore.
+Centre should not have dillydallying approach towardsfixing the state''s plan size to Rs 24,000 crore for the nextfiscal,+ Modi told reporters.
Stating that Bihar government was actively involved inexecution of development schemes, Modi said the centre shouldhike the plan size by 20 per cent from Rs 20,000 crore during2010-11 keeping in view the state''s +abilities and capacity+to utilise the funds in toto.
+It is justifiable and appropriate for the centre toconcede the demand+, he said.
Modi further said the gradual increase in plan sizereflected that the state''s capacity to utilise the funds had+heavily enhanced+.
He hoped that the centre and planning commission wouldtake a favourable decision.
