Man killed in crane collapse

Jaipur, Feb 3 (PTI) A man was today killed when acrane engaged in the Metro rail construction work suddenlycollapsed on his car, police said.

"The incident occurred when Vikram Maheshwari, abusinessman, was passing through the Ajmer road, nearSushilpura area, in his car. A heavy drilling crane, involvedin the construction of the first phase of Metro rail projecthere, suddenly tilted and fell on the victim''s car," SHO ofShyam Nagar police station, Vikram Singh said.

The victim was taken out of the badly damaged car andwas rushed to the SMS hospital where doctors declared himbrought dead, Singh added.
