Lotus to open new super speciality eye hospital at Kochi

Coimbatore, Feb 3 (PTI) City-based Lotus Eye Care Hospital,one of the two listed corporate eye hospitals in the country,is opening a super speciality hospital in Kochi in Kerala.

The 5-storeyed hospital would start functioning from Feb 7in a 18,000 sq ft and provide quality eyecare treatment to allthe sections of society Dr S K Sundaramoorthy, Chairman, LotusEye Care Hospitals said.

The hospital had been equipped with state-of-the-art eyetreatment technology, facilities for comprehensive diagnosticsand was backed by a highly skilled and committed team ofeyesurgeons and paramedics and would offer all the superspecialties under one roof, he said.

As an inaugural offer, the hospital would not chargeconsultation fee for patients below 21 years and above 50years during first two months, he said adding the hospitalwould organise screening camps at different places and offercomprehensive treatment to the poor for tariffs based on theirability to pay.
