Four held in Goan house robbery case

Bangalore, Feb 4 (PTI) Four persons, who had allegedlydecamped with valuables worth Rs 50 lakh from a residence inGoa were arrested near here, police said today.

The accused, hailing from Manipur, were members of thesame family have been handed over to Goa police along with thevaluables which included gold and diamond jewellery, a policepress release said.

Rishikant along with three of his relatives, employed assecurity guards in the house of Venkatesh Prabhumani,committed the theft on February two and took away Rs 50,000 incash, the release said.

On a tip-off that the culprits were hiding here, a policeteam from Goa arrived in the city and sought the help of theircounterparts here following which a special team tracked thegang to a hotel yesterday and took them into custody, therelease said.
