Former minister to face defamation for anti-Bhandari leaflets

Gangok, Feb 4 (PTI) Primula Bhandari, daughter of stateCongress President Nar Bahadur Bhadari, has lodged acomplaint at a police station here challenging the wide rangeof allegations made in a leaflet published by dissidentCongress leader K N Upreti.

Primula said that she had been unnecessarily named inthe political controversies between her father Nar BahadurBhandari and dissident Congressman Upreti.

The war of words between the State Congress Presidentand dissident congress leader K N Upreti, came to light in theform of leaflets in which it was alleged that she had closerelation with Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling, through hisson Bijay.

Sources close to Primula said that she is going to filea defamation suit against Upreti shortly.

Upreti on January 31, came up with wide range ofallegations about Bhandari''s survival politics and his closelinks with the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party. PTICOR MM
