Fake notes recovered from nullah

Nashik, Feb 4 (PTI) A few bundles of fake notes in Rs1,000 denomination were today found in a nullah'' near here,police said.

The notes were recovered from Vadala Road area, wherethey were spotted by some passersby, they said, adding a probehas been launched to find out who had dumped them.

The exact face value of the counterfeit currency wasnot yet known.

On Wednesday, police had seized Rs 2.85 lakh in fakenotes and arrested two persons at Trimbakeshwar near here.

Besides, Rs 4 lakh in real currency was also recovered fromthe duo.
