Dalit woman alleges gang-rape in Jamnagar

Jamnagar, Feb 4 (PTI) A Dalit woman has alleged thatshe was raped by four men last month, police said here today.

The incident took place on January 9, but the30-year-old victim did not file the complaint immediately. Sheapproached the police today.

In her complaint, the woman has stated that fourpersons -- Praveen Satwara, Mahendra Dudhwala, Jayram Satwaraand Raju Patel -- raped her on January 9, when her husband wasnot in the house and she was alone.

She has further stated that the four had threatened tokill her if she reported the incident to the police.

An FIR has been lodged against the four persons whosenames have been mentioned in the complaint and furtherinvestigation was being done by DySP N V Ninama.
