Children should be encouraged to take up research: Darda

Parbhani, Feb 3 (PTI) Maharashtra School EducationMinister Rajendra Darda today said young students should beencouraged to take up research.

"Scientific experiments and innovations should be usedfor welfare of the society. The progress of the nation dependson innovative experiments by the children. Hence, they shouldbe motivated to undertake research," he said.

He was speaking after inaugurating the 36th statelevel science exhibition here in Central Maharashtra.

The exhibition has been jointly organised by the bythe National Education Research Conference (New Delhi), StateEducation Department and Zilla Parishad.

Darda said the fund for organising the scienceexhibition would be raised to Rs 30 lakh from the present 10lakh.
