CBS for APSCAB bank in Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar, Feb 04 (PTI) The recently revived ArunachalPradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank (APSCAB) is all set to gofor core banking solution (CBS), managing director Tarin Dakpesaid.

National Cooperative Development Corporation of India(NCDC) has approved Rs 15 crore project with 25 per centsubsidy for the purpose, Dakpe told PTI today.

"Linking all 32 branches of the bank through CBS tofacilitate easy transaction will be a boon for the smallinvestors, farmers and low income people, who constitutemajority of the depositors," he said.

The bank which went defunct because of a loan scamresulting in liquidity crunch in 2004 which had prompted thestate government to pump in Rs 225 crore for its revival inAugust 2007.
