Bihar has right to get spl status: Nitish
Patna, Feb 3 (PTI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar todaysaid the state had a right to get the special state categoryto enable it get substantial investments for removingbackwardness.
"The state has full right to be granted the specialstate category," he told reporters on his return from Delhi,where he had met central leaders and Planning CommissionDeputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia.
Referring to his meeting with the Prime Minister, Kumarsaid he had made a strong pitch for considering the demand forgranting the special state status to Bihar "and we willcontinue to press for the same through various platforms tillit is fulfilled."
"The special status will facilitate huge investments in abackward state like Bihar," he said.
