Audi launches new sports car

Hyderabad, Feb 4 (PTI) Audi, the German luxury carmanufacturer, today launched "New Audi R8 5.2 FSI" tostrengthen its leadership position in the sports car segment.

Propelled by a powerful V10 quattro engine and builtusing the lightweight Audi Space Frame (ASF) design, the newAudi R8 goes from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds,boasting of a top speed of 316 km/h. The new car is priced atRs 1,32,49,000.

"The Audi R8 exemplifies our belief in developing worldclass automobiles for sports car enthusiasts in India. EveryAudi R8 is hand-built and demonstrates paramount engineeringexcellence that is blended with distinct design cues whichwill enable us to establish new benchmarks in the performancesports car segment, said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.

Audi India is also focused at strengthening its dealernetwork in the country by opening of showrooms in Delhi andLudhiana. Last year, the company inaugurated showrooms inMumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur and Bengaluru, he added.

The company offers a range of car models in the Indianmarket through its sales outlets in different parts of thecountry.
