Two policemen turn lawbreakers in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, Feb 2 (PTI) Two policemen found themselves onthe other side of the law today, when one was arrested forallegedly possessing heroin while the other was suspended onthe charge of taking bribe.

Constable Mahendra Singh, posted at Kavi Nagar policestation here, was arrested in Hapur for allegedly possessing240 gm of heroin and other narcotic substance, police sourcessaid.

Singh was produced before the magistrate in Hapur andlater sent to jail, they said.

In separate case, Sub-Inspector Harpal Singh, posted atLoni police station, was placed under suspension by SSPRagubir Lal for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 from aperson, they said.

The SSP said all those policemen indulged in criminalactivities and corruption would be punished.
