RPF Head Constable killed by villagers

Bilaspur, Feb 2 (PTI) A Head Constable of RailwayProtection Police (RPF) was killed and three others, includingan officer, injured in an attack by villagers near here today,official said.

A RPF team was looking for two thieves who had stolenrailway properties when the search party members were attackedby residents of Pali village who were armed with lathis andiron rods, they said.

Head Constable C P Singh died in the attack, whilethree others, including an officer, were injured, theofficials said.

RPF had arrested three persons in connection with thetheft of connecting cables a few days ago and was looking fortwo others. A RPF team had gone to Pali village to nab twoabsconding members of the gang.
