NCC republic day contingent arrrives from R-day

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 2 (PTI) The NCC republic daycontigegent from Kerala, which included 104 cadets, officersand associate officers reached here today aftersuccessfully participating in the Repulic Day camp, Raj PathMarch and the Prime Minister''s rally during the Republic dayparade.

According to a press release here, Air Squadron NCC baggedthe first position with gold medal for the static aeromodelling. In the all India best cadet competition, cadetsenior under officer Karthik Nandakumar won the silver medal.

Under the guidance of Anil Kumar, aero model instructor,the air squadron NCC had achieved the gold medal for fiveyears in a row.

Wing Commander D Senthil Kumar, commanding officer of theAir Squandron commended the cadres for their success since itwas the only air wing NCC unit in the state.

A reception would be given to the NCC contingent by theGovernor of Kerala R S Gavai at a function at the Raj Bhavanon on Februrary 3, the release said.
