BIAL announces change in management

Bangalore, Feb 3 (PTI) Bangalore International AirportLimited today announced a change in management with Hari Mararbeing appointed as President Operations at BIAL.

Hari who is currently Director Operations, will take chargefrom March one.

Daniel Bircher, currently Head - Safety Office at theZurich Airport will take over from Hari Marar as Director -Operations at BIAL.

Marcel Hungerbuehler, President of BIAL would complete hiscontract term in March 2011, BIAL said in a statement.

Marcel joined BIAL as Chief Operating Officer. His initialcontract was extended in early 2009 when he took over from thecompany�s first CEO, Albert Brunner. Marcel played a crucialrole in the startup and operations of the BengaluruInternational Airport when it opened in May 2008.

Hari Marar brings with him over 15 years of experience inservice industries that include hospitality, airlines andairports across Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore.

He joined BIAL in September 2006 as the Head of DailyOperations and was a part of the core team that successfullyoperationalized the airport project and is responsible for theentire operations of the Bengaluru International Airport.
