ATM theft case resolved, one arrested

Hyderabad, Feb 3 (PTI) The City Police today arresteda person on the charge of stealing over Rs 20 lakh from an ATMmachine of State Bank of Hyderabad at Madannapet here.

The theft had taken place in the early hours ofJanuary 15. One D Yadagiri has been arrested, and cash of Rs 6lakh has been recovered from him, said Hyderabad PoliceCommissioner A K Khan.

Yadagiri, a mason, confessed that he and his friendentered the ATM centre and removed four cash boxes afteropening the machine with a screw-driver.

Police arrested Yadagiri from Champapet here andefforts are on to nab his friend who is absconding, the PoliceCommissioner said.
