Another wall-collapse in Bangalore, 9 dead

Bangalore, Feb 2: Another wall has collapsed in an under-construction building leading to the death of 9 people and injuring six others. The wall was 30 feet high and the victims are all believed to be labourers from Bihar.

The incident happened near the Bannerghatta Road in a company by the name of ATS. Rescue operations are on to extract other possible workers trapped in the debris.

The news comes soon after a wall collapsed in the Chepauk Stadium, also called MA Chidamabaram Stadium, an upcoming World Cup venue.

The news exposes the dilapidated state of buildings that pose a grave threat to the hapless labourers who work in these construction sites without adequate security gear.
