Three killed in drunken driving case

Bangalore, February 2 (PTI) Three persons were killed onthe spot and two others injured in a case of drunken drivinghere, police said.

Shiva Kumar (about 30), and his four friends werereturning from a cocktail party yesterday when Kumar, who wasat the wheel, lost control and dashed the car against aroadside tree when trying to overtake a lorry, police said.

Besides Kumar, Anil Dominique (21) and Shyam Kumar (20)were killed on the spot, police said.

The injured have been admitted to hospital and are beingtreated.

A case of accident due to drunken driving has beenregistered and is being probed by Banaswadi traffic police,they said.
