Apple to launch 5 million iPad 2 in 2011 Q1

San Francisco, Feb 2: Rumors of Apple iPad 2 reached in its peak ahead of the launch of Motorola Xoom tablet that runs on Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, which is expected to be out at 2011 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

The iPhone maker Apple has not yet responded to rumors of iPad 2 and its specifications. But, one thing we can expect that Apple iPad 2 would defenitely have a faster processor, a higher quality display and dual cameras.

Concord Securities reported the detailed specifications of Apple iPad 2. According to the report, the upcoming tablet will have Cortex-A9 dual core processor which offers 1.2GHz speed. Apple iPad 2 will bear 512MB of RAM and dual cameras, one at rear and one at front for video chat.

A Taiwan website reported that the production of Apple iPad 2 will start on Feb 2011 and is expected to produce around 5 million units in Q1 of 2011. Report also added that Apple will start the production of iPhone 5 in near future.

Another prominent rumor about iPad 2 is that it will be launched in separate GSM and CDMA versions. The GSM iPad will be powered by the Infineon chip and the CDMA iPad will use a Qualcomm chip.
