Spurious oil seized in Latur

Aurangabad, Feb 1 (PTI) Police today raided a factoryin neighbouring Latur district and seized counterfeit oil.

The raid was carried out as a part of crack down onmafias engage in the business of fake petroleum product andblack marketing following the killing of Additional DistrictMagistrate Yashwant Sonawane in Manmad last month.

Acting on a tip off, a team of Crime Branch and localpolice raided the factory in Shivajinagar and seized more than20 barrels and equipment used in manufacturing spurious oil,police sources said.

No one has been arrested, they said, adding thefactory has been sealed and further investigation was on. PTICOR
