Six contractual doctors dismissed

Samastipur(Bihar), Feb 2 (PTI) Samastipur DistrictMagistrate Pankaj Kumar today dismissed six contractualdoctors posted at four primary health centres (PHCs) oncharges of negligency in service and ordered deduction of 15days'' salaries of 11 medicos, official sources said.

Inspecting health facilities at four PHCs atShivajinagar, Sarairanjan, Vibhutipur and Pura, Kumar receivedcomplaints from the local people that these doctors wereattending to only 10 or less patients daily, the sources said.

Subsequently, the district magistrate ordered thedismissal of six medicos hired on contract and deduction of 15days'' salaries of 11 other medicos, they said.
