No constraint for MSME development: Virbhadra

Bangalore, Feb 1 (PTI) Union Minister for Steel VirbhadraSingh said today there was no resource constraint for Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises development and asked MSMEs andassociations to take advantage of National ManufacturingCompetitiveness Programme (NMPC) schemes.

These schemes primarily address issues of technologyupgradation and quality improvement, infrastructuredevelopment and marketing support, he said, during the launchof the India MSME Summit here today.

Chief Guest at the Summit, President of Dominican RepublicLeonel Antonio Fernandez, invited Bangalore based companiesfor leveraging the excellent working environment, hardworkingand skilled workforce, suitability of time zone and politicalstability in his country to tap markets of US and Canadariding on concessional access given to Dominic republic.

Excellent business opportunities exist in IT/ ITES,pharma, processed food sectors besides specific opportunitiesfor MSME sector in supply chains of plastic and sheet metal,he said.
