Nepal President to be chief guest at PGIMER convocation

Chandigarh, Feb 2 (PTI) Nepal President Ram Baran Yadav,an alumnus of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Educationand Research (PGIMER) here, will be the chief guest of thepremier institute''s convocation ceremony on Friday.

"Yadav will be the chief guest and will deliver theconvocation address on February 4. He is an alumnus of theinstitute and was awarded a degree in internal medicine in1985," PGIMER Director K K Talwar said here today.

Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is also thepresident of the institute, will award post graduate degreesto 330 students, he said.

The Nepal President will also felicitate students foroutstanding research and academic excellence.
