They died but saved many - long live humanity!

Helicopter crash
Nashik, Feb 2: Most of the times our day starts with news of accidents, deaths, rapes, murders, scams, sex abuses and so on. Sometimes people are forced to think that the earth is no more worth living. But every time people see a ray of hope with some news that proves the existence of basic human traits.

Major Atul Garje and Captain Bhanu Pratap Gupta, the duo died following an army helicopter crash near Nashik on Wednesday, Feb 2. Sources said that the duo had saved many other lives before their last breath. The deceased pilots averted a major tragedy, by steering the helicopter towards a vacant plot of land, sources informed.

After the accident, an army official stated, "Had the pilots bailed out immediately after noticing fault in rotor blades, they would have saved their own lives, but the helicopter would have certainly crashed into a densely populated area, killing many more."

Major Garje hailed from Pathardi tehsil in Ahmednagar district and was an alumni of Sainik School, Satara. A few months ago he was blessed with a daughter.

The pilots almost managed an emergency landing before the rotor blade of the helicopter hit the terrace of a bungalow, the official said. Citing this kind of instances, one must say - salute to the Real Heroes and long live Humanity!
