Hearing on complaint against CM adjourned till tomorrow

Bangalore, Feb 1 (PTI) A local court today adjourned tilltomorrow hearing on a complaint filed against Karnataka ChiefMinister B S Yeddyurappa and others over allegations ofcorruption.

Additional City Civil and Session Court Judge C B Hippargidirected the petitioners to file their objections on anapplication moved by Sohan Kumar, son-in-law of Yeddyurappa,seeking a stay on the proceedings on the ground that thematter was under investigations by the Lokayukta.

C H Hanumantharaya, counsel for petitioner Sirajin Basha,said he would submit his objections tomorrow, after which thehearing was adjourned.

Basha and another advocate Balaraj have filed fivecomplaints against Yeddyurappa, his sons B Y Vijendra and B YRahavendra, MP and others after Governor H R Bhardwaj gaveconsent to prosecute them.

The complaints pertain to 15 alleged instances ofirregularities in denotification and allotment of land byYeddyurappa.

The court had yesterday ordered that the hearing of commonarguments relating to the five complaints would be taken upfrom February 4.
