Hardcore Maoist arrested from Jharkhand

Rourkela, Feb 2 (PTI) A hardcore Maoist was arrestedand two landmines, explosive materials and posters were seizedfrom him from a village in Jharkhand, close to the Orissaborder, police said here today.

A joint team of police and CRPF arrested KushalKerketa (24) from Raidihi village in Jharkhand area during thecombing operation yesterday, they said.

He was allegedly involved in several Maoist incidentsin Sundergarh district, including blasting of Bandamundarailway cabin last month.

Kushal was said to be a right hand man of Sameer, aNuagaon Maoist area commander of Jharkhand.
