Criminal killed in encounter

Jaipur, Feb 1 (PTI) A notorious criminal of Haryanawas today killed in an encounter with the police in Dholpurdistrict of Rajasthan.

"Teams of Haryana and Rajasthan police were chasingthe accused Rajesh alias Tau, who had a cash reward of atleast 5 lakh, and killed in an encounter," SP (Dholpur) RahulPrakash told PTI over phone.

"His accomplice Tara, who received bullet injuries,managed to escape and is being searched in hospitals andnursing homes in nearby places," he said.

The SP said that Rajesh was involved in several casesof murder in Haryana while Tara is also a notorious criminaland wanted in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
