CBI to investigate police-drug dealers nexus case: Naik

Panaji, Feb 2 (PTI) The Goa government today said thedrug nexus case involving a police sub inspector has alreadybeen handed over to the CBI.

Responding to a question on the floor of the House, GoaHome Minister Ravi Naik said the state government has alreadyhanded over the case to the probe agency.

Police sub inspector Sunil Guddler was caught on a spycamera by two foreigner girls, when he was allegedly trying topush drugs.

Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar asked whygovernment was dragging its feet on handing over the probe toCBI.

He demanded that Naik should table the letter written toCBI before the House.

"We don''t trust your assurances as you may change themind at the last minute," Parrikar told Naik.
