An unidentified militant killed in Manipur

Imphal, Feb 2 (PTI) An unidentified militant was killed inan encounter with a combine team of Bishenpur police commandosand 12th Maratha Light Infantry at Leimaram Waroi ching areain Bishenpur district of Manipur, official sources said today.

Sources said that combined forces were search operation atWaroiching area yesterday, in the operation some suspectedmilitants open fire at the security forces.

Security forces were returned the fire about 20 minutes.

In the ensuing exchange of firing one militant was killed onthe spot.

The police recovered one pistol with some live rounds fromthe dead person.
