4 get lifer in murder case

Medininagar (Jharkhand), Feb 1 (PTI) A local courttoday sentenced four persons to life imprisonment for killinga man at village Kanda in Palamu district of Jharkhand inDecember, 2006.

District and Sessions judge, Medininagar, SatenderKumar Singh convicted Bajrangi Bhuiyan, Chandradeep Bhuiyan,Amrit Bhuiyan and Jagannath Bhuiyan and sentenced them to lifeimprisonment for killing Suhari Bhuiyan suspecting her to bepractising witchcraft.

The accused had attacked Suhari and his wife, TetriDevi with lathis on December 13, 2006, according to an FIRlodged by Devi, who had escaped with injuries.

Suhari was killed on spot.
