Woman burnt to death, husband, in-laws held

Madhubani, Jan 31 (PTI) After her failure to bringmore dowry, a woman was burnt to death allegedly by herhusband and parents-in-law at Nahar Badhai tola under Pandaulpolice station in Bihar''s Madhubani district, police said.

The woman, identified as Anju Kumari (23), died at ahospital today, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Sadar),Karmlal said.

But before her death she had given a statementcharging her husband and in-laws with setting her on fire fordowry yesterday, he said.

The police arrested the deceased''s husband Anil Raut,father-in-law Ram Lakhan Raut and mother-in-law Manju Devi whowere later sent to jail.
