Two govt employees arrested with 6 kg of cannabis

Jammu, Feb 1 (PTI) Two government employees have beenarrested by the Jammu and Kashmir police and six kg ofcannabis and 400 grams of poppy were recovered from them witha street value of Rs 15 lakh in Rajouri district of Jammu andKashmir.

Acting on a tip off, police intercepted a vehicle inRajouri town and recovered six kg of cannabis and 400 grams ofpoppy last evening, officials said.

The arrested accused have been identified as FarooqAhmed, an employee with J&K Bank, and Shaqoor Ahmed, employeeof Baba Gulam Shah Badshah University, they said, adding thata case has been registered in this regard.
