Sound-and-light show soon at Rameswaram temple

Rameswaram, Jan 31 (PTI) The Hindu Religious andCharitable Endowment has sanctioned the establishment of asound-and-light programme at the famous Sri Ramanathaswamytemple here at a cost of Rs 1.40 crore.

S Elango, Executive Officer of the Endowment, said aDelhi-based company with expertise in this field had beengiven the contract for installing the show.

He added that the show would be installed at the VadakkuNandavana Kalai Arangu (Theatre hall).

Elango, who said the temple bank deposits had increasedto Rs 28 crore this year from Rs 17 crore in 2010, said theconstruction of North and South towers in the temple was goingas per schedule and would be completed in another year. PTICOR/SSN ARP
