Security to be tightened for ministers, MPs and legislators

Patna, Jan 31 (PTI) Bihar government today decided totighten security for ministers, MPs and legislators in thestate.

ADG headquarters, P K Thakur said each ministers wouldhave 16 policemen for their security, while MPs andlegislators would now have three bodyguards each. Thebodyguards would be on the duty in three shifts to providethem security round the clock.

Besides, frisking of visitors would be ensured.

"We had submitted a proposal seeking to enhance thesecurity for ministers, MPs and legislators to thegovernment ... It was okayed today," he said.

Chief Minister Nitish kumar had last month asked thestate police headquarter to increase the security of theministers, MPs and legislators and ensure frisking of visitorsin the wake of the killing of Purnia BJP MLA RajkishoreKeshari in his residence.
