Prohibitory orders clamped in Gautam Budha Nagar district
Noida, Jan 31 (PTI) Prohibitory orders were thisevening clamped in Noida and others areas of Gautam Budh Nagardistrict following a planned march by agitating farmers whoare demanding greater compensation for their land acquired forYamuna Expressway project.
In his order, District Magsitrate Deepak Aggarwal saidthat authorities apprehended violence tomorrow when farmers,sitting on dharna at Bhatta Parsol, are scheduled to march toAgra.
Section 144 banning assembly of four or more personsis, therefore, being clamped, it said.
Kisan Sangharsh Samiti, which is leading theagitation, alleged that the move was aimed at supressing theagitation and declared that they will go ahead with theirmarch.
