MLA murder accused produced in court

Purnia, Jan 31 (PTI) Rupam Pathak, who allegedlyknifed to death Purnia BJP MLA Raj Kishore Keshri and NawaleshPathak, a journalist accused in the case, were today producedbefore a local court for trial.

However, the hearing at the Chief Judicial Magistrate(CJM) D L Prasad''s court could not take place due to theonging strike by lawyers demanding abolition of eveningcourts.

Nawalesh Pathak has filed a written complaint to thejudge alleging that he was being provide poor quality meals bythe prison authorities which was rejected by the latter on theground that the application was not verified by the jailsuperintendent.
