Minister inspects facilities in hospital

Bhabhua (Bihar), Jan 31 (PTI) Bihar Health MinisterAshwini Kumar Choubey today inspected facilities andinfrastructure of the Sadar Hospital here in Kaimur district.

Undertaking the state-wide Chetna Rath Yatra aimed attaking medical facilities to the doorsteps of the people ofthe naxalite-infested district, he met the health authoritiesat the hospital and interacted with the patients.

Knowing that expired medicines were burnt recently,Choube reprimanded civil surgeon Auchitlal Mandal saying themedicines should have been distributed among patients beforethe expiry of the drugs.

The minister also directed the hospital''s Deputysuperintendent Md Sarfuddin to stop purchase of medicine froma supplier who had supplied medicines having usage durationonly for a limited period.
