Chandigarh, Feb 1 (PTI) Cold conditions abated in mostparts of Punjab and Haryana with the minimum temperatureremaining above normal in the region.
The minimum temperatures hovered between one degrees abovenormal to two degrees below normal at most of the places inthe region, the MeT office said here today.
Narnaul was the coldest place in plains of Punjab andHaryana with a low of four degrees Celsius, which was twonotches below normal.
While Rohtak settled at a low of 4.5 degrees Celsius, theminimum temperature at Amritsar was 4.6 degrees Celsius.
Among other places, Patiala settled at a low of 5.7 degreesCelsius, one notch below normal, followed by 6.4 degreesCelsius at Chandigarh, one notch below normal, and 6.5 degreesCelsius at Hisar.
While Karnal had a low of 6.8 degrees Celsius, one notchbelow normal, the minimum temperature at Gurgaon was 7.5degrees Celsius.
Bhiwani in Haryana had a low of 5.8 degrees Celsius.
