Man shot dead by robbers

New Delhi, Jan 31 (PTI) A 40-year-old cashier was robbedand shot dead by two motorcycle-borne men in north-east Delhithis evening, police said.

The incident took place in Mansrovar Park at around 4:30pm and the victim has been identified as Vinod, who works witha scrap dealer in Patparganj.

Vinod was on his way to Mansarovar Park with cash whentwo youths hit his motorcycle and forced him to stop, policesaid.

When they tried to snatch his bag, he resisted followingwhich the youths shot him twice and escaped with themoneybag.

Vinod succumbed to his injuries at GTB Hospital.

A case of murder and robbery has been registered at thelocal police station.
