JK govt to allot 4,218 flats to KPs by Mar 15
Jammu, Jan 31 (PTI) The Jammu and Kashmir governmenttoday said it will allot 4,218 flats -- under construction inJagti township at Nagrota in the city outskirts for displacedKashmiri migrants -- to the community members by March 15.
"The 4,218 flats at Jagti Township being constructed fordisplaced Kashmiri migrants is nearing completion...Thegovernment will allot the flats by March 15," Revenue, Reliefand Rehabilitation minister Raman Bhalla told reporters here.
Meanwhile, in a public gathering at Samba district, about45 km from here, minister for Consumer Affairs and PublicDistribution Qamar Ali Akhoon urged the citizens to activelyparticipate in the upcoming Panchayat elections in the state.
"Panchayati elections are round the corner. People shouldactively participate and elect genuine representatives," hesaid.
