Godrej Prop launches flagship project, The Trees, in Vikhroli

Mumbai, Jan 31 (PTI) Godrej Properties, the real estatedevelopment arm of the Godrej Group, today announced thelaunch of its mixed use project, The Trees, at Vikhroli, here.

At 2.8-million square feet, this is one of the largestreal estate development projects in the city.

The Trees seeks to offer its residents a commerciallyvibrant, aesthetically attractive, and pedestrian-friendlyplace to live, work, and play, a press release today stated.

Once completed, The Trees will house premium officespace, residential towers, high-street retail and five-starhospitality over a large four-acre landscaped park.

Situated in the heart of the city, this development iswell-connected to several major transit points and businesshubs. The Trees will be built in three phases startingimmediately with the first commercial building.

The first building, on which construction has nowcommenced, is called Godrej One and will be one of India�sleading commercial buildings. The building is beingconstructed by Larsen & Toubro.

The name Godrej One is symbolic--not only is thisbuilding step �one� of Godrej Properties� large ambitions forthis development, it is also the physical space that willbring various Godrej Group companies under �one� roof.

Of a total area of 7,50,000 square feet in Godrej One,2,50,000 square feet will be used as the headquarters forseveral Godrej Group companies, while the remaining 5,00,000square feet will be leased to external tenants.

Godrej Properties is developing this project in jointventure with two Godrej Group companies--Godrej Industries andGodrej & Boyce.
