Bengal CM to inform Chidambaram about ''TC-Maoist nexus''
Kolkata, Jan 31 (PTI) West Bengal Chief MinisterBuddhadev Bhattacharjee tonight said he would inform UnionHome Minister P Chidambaram about "Trinamool-Maoist nexuswhich had once again been confirmed after the arrest of twoMaoists from a TC-run camp" in West Midnapore.
Describing the incident as ''extremely dangerous'',Bhattacharjee said the inmates of municipality-run camp inMidnapore town had obstructed the police during the arrest oftwo Maoists who had been given shelter there.
"This incident has once again proved that the Trinamooland Maoists have been working in tandem in our state which Ihad already referred to in my earlier statement," the ChiefMinister said in a statement here.
Expressing concern over the "continuing TC-Maoist nexus"in state, he warned those in Trinamool leadership "encouragingsuch activities" saying that he would be compelled to takeadministrative action against such machinations.
Stating that he would shortly inform today''s incident toUnion Home Minister, Bhattacharjee added, "I would like toremind Mr Chidambaram about his responsibility in the matter."
"In my last meeting with the Union Home Minister in Delhi,I referred to this problem (nexus). I would again remind himabout this continuing relationship between Trinamool andMaoists," he said.
Two inmates of a Trinamool-run relief camp in WestMidnapore were arrested by joint security forces today foralleged links with Maoists.
