Students block Patna-Gaya highway
Jehanabad, Jan 31 (PTI) Students of a government highschool blockaded Patna-Gaya NH 33 in Jehanabad district forhours today to protest against frequent disruption in academicwork and non-ditribution of bicycles and other facilities tothem.
The students of the Salempur village later called offthe stir after the sub-divisional officer met them.
When contacted the school principal Ramchandra Keshariconceded that the academic activities had been affected due toa host of reasons, including shortage of teachers.
Out of the six teachers, three of them were deputed incensus works, he said and assured that the students'' otherdemands like dress and money for bicycles will be distributedsoon.
