SP to hold protests across UP on Feb 2

Lucknow, Jan 31 (PTI) Samajwadi Party today announced itsdecision to hold state-wide protests on February 2 againstarrest of Independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias RajaBhaiya and rape of a backward community girl allegedly by aBSP MLA in Banda.

"There is no law and order in the state. SP state chiefAkhilesh Yadav has written to all district units to organise asit-in at all district headquarters to register the party''sprotest," SP spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury said here.

He charged the BSP government with harassing SP workersall over the state and shielding its own partymen havingcriminal background.
