Gidwani does not hold any position in Maha Congress: Thakre
Mumbai, Jan 31 (PTI) Maharashtra Pradesh CongressCommittee (MPCC) president Manikrao Thakre today said thatKanhaiyalal Gidwani, one of the accused against whom CBI hasfiled FIR in the Adarsh Housing scam, does not hold anyofficial position in the state unit.
"He (Gidwani) along with some others were madespokespersons in 2009. But, it has been conveyed to them longago that the arrangement was only for election period," Thakresaid when asked if the party was planning any action againstGidwani for his involvement in the case.
Gidwani a former Shiv Sena MLC switched sides to theCongress in 2005.
