AI plane with 300 Indians from Egypt lands in Mumbai
Mumbai, Jan 31 (PTI) An Air India plane, carrying about300 stranded passengers from strife-torn Egypt, landed at theCST Airport here this afternoon.
The Boeing 747-800 was flown to Cairo yesterday as aspecial measure to airlift the Indians stranded there amidstnationwide unrest against the Egyptian government.
Air India has also decided to send its Mumbai-Jeddahflight further to Cairo this evening to pick up more Indiansstuck in the Egyptian capital that has been rocked by violentprotests for a week now, airport sources said.
According to current estimates, there are about 600Indians, including tourists, who are to be transported backhere.
